B-Legal is operated as a product of Analytics Compliance & Security Solutions LLC, a New York-based technology company focused on legal technology, compliance solutions, public safety tools, and software development. Intellectual property is owned by Analytics Holdings LLC. B-Legal is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Account: Email address and hashed password. We never store plaintext passwords.

Payments: Processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — never your card number.

Usage: Aggregate AI query counts per day for tier enforcement, and page-level analytics via Vercel Analytics. Searches you run are recorded with your account identifier so we can improve coverage; on a legal product these queries can be sensitive, and they are never sold or used for advertising.

Stored on your device only: Legal Locker records and court prep checklists are kept in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data erases them.

Saved FOIL requests: when you save a FOIL draft to your account, the letter you generated — including the details you entered into it — is stored on our servers and linked to your account.

AI features: the AI Legal Assistant, the Document Analyzer and attorney matching are powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you use them we send the text of your question, the description you provide, or the contents of the document you upload — extracted text, or the image itself if you upload a photo or scan — to Anthropic for processing. We do not send your name, email address or account identifier with these requests, and the requests are made by our servers, so Anthropic does not receive your IP address or device information. Anthropic processes this material as our service provider under its commercial terms. We keep the analysis or answer that comes back, linked to your account; we do not keep the uploaded file itself.

Service providers: we rely on Supabase (accounts and database), Anthropic (AI features described above), Stripe and RevenueCat (subscription payments on the web and in the iOS app), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Sentry (error monitoring) and Resend (email). Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.

Error monitoring: Sentry captures application errors (browser type, OS, page URL). No personal data is included.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon deletion, your records are removed within 30 days. Stripe retains payment records per their policy.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting admin@blegalapp.com. We respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

B-Legal uses httpOnly session cookies for authentication only. No tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Children

B-Legal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Security

TLS encryption in transit, industry-standard password hashing managed by our authentication provider, Row-Level Security on all database tables, and httpOnly cookies for session management.
