1. Copyright Policy

B-Legal, operated by Analytics Compliance & Security Solutions LLC (“ACS Solutions”), respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and respond to properly submitted takedown notices.

2. Designated Agent

Analytics Compliance & Security Solutions LLC has registered a designated agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2).

3. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

To report claimed copyright infringement, send a written notification to our designated agent (above) containing all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  3. Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service (URL, screenshot, or description)
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement of good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Notices that do not satisfy all six requirements under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) may not be acted upon.

4. Our Response

Upon receipt of a valid and complete takedown notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the affected user.

5. Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent (above) containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, mailing address, and telephone number
  5. A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your district (or any district in which we may be found, if outside the U.S.)

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the material within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files legal action.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), ACS Solutions maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, accounts of users determined to be repeat copyright infringers.

7. Restoration After Wrongful Removal

If material is restored pursuant to a valid counter-notification, we will notify the original complainant and restore the material no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receipt of the counter-notification, unless the complainant provides notice of legal action.

8. Good Faith

ACS Solutions acts in good faith when processing DMCA notices and counter-notifications and makes no determination of infringement before receiving a properly submitted notice.

9. False Claims Warning

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to civil liability including damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees.
