Overview
Operating a motor vehicle knowing your license is suspended or revoked. A criminal misdemeanor in New York. The word 'knowing' matters — if you were never notified of the suspension, it is a defense. Aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO) 1st, 2nd, 3rd carry increasingly serious criminal penalties.
